A Taste of Oxblood

A Taste of Oxblood

I’ve always been drawn to dark shades of red. Deep burgundy, or wine, they are romantic and vigilant at the same time, and call back to the old world. It reminds me of a cold drizzle through the changing leaves of fall, where all you want is to be cozy. Whether it is purple burgundy or the dark reddish-brown oxblood, shades of dark red are incredibly versatile as they pair well with any skin tone and most colors, even neon. You’re thinking no, but yes! It is definitely possible if you know how to tone down the rest of your outfit. I particularly love the mixture of oxblood and orange or burgundy and gold.

I love the color of Oxblood for fall. Some of my favorites that you’ve listed are the Madewell Heritage Leather Satchel, Nars Pure Matt Lipstick and the Tall Sleeveless Peplum Vest.

  • This makes me wish for cooler weather, scarves and boots. I even picked out a color polish from Butter London that would fit perfectly in this look. I’m really liking the peplum top, scarf and flats.
