How She’d Wear It with Style and Cheek

HSWI september

For the last leather post of September we’re going to talk about the easiest way to incorporate leather into your wardrobe, through clothes with leather accents. With Fall’s influx of leather items, there are a ton of leather accent pieces available that include everything from leather trim to leather sleeves to leather elbow patches. If you’re shy about wearing leather then this trend is perfect for you because it’s not in-your-face the same way a leather jacket might be and you don’t have to be as brave you’d need to be to wear leather pants. Oooh boy. What’s great about pieces with leather as an accent is that they can be worn casually, with more leather, or dressed up.

Because these pieces are only using leather as an accent, they are super versatile, so there are really no limits to the ways you can wear this trend. That means I can wear it with jeans which is right in my leather comfort-zone. But if I were really courageous I would want to try leather with leather because I love the idea of a fairly casual, classic look with leather as a twist. A black sweater with leather pants or leather pleated skirt and cute flats. Perfect. Both outfits for night have just a hint of leather which adds a bit of vamp to an otherwise simple look.
