I’m so ready for the holiday season, it’s actually kinda gross. I want to start buying Christmas presents and ornaments. I’ve become one of THOSE people! Never in my life have I been excited for the holidays this early. On October 1st I was asking my coworkers what their plans are for Halloween, and this weekend I fought the urge to buy a billion Halloween/fall decorations and go crazy in our apartment. Helloooo baby pumpkins. I’m so pumped for the holidays! So pumped. Given that it is October you’d think I’d put together something pumpkin-y for this post but no, not this time, because autumn is about feasting and festivities and apple everything! Yes fall is home to pumpkin pie and jack-o-lanterns, but personally I just find apple a whole lot tastier. So I rounded up a bunch of Apple recipes for fall – from drinks to pies.
Apples just spell holidays for me, even the winter holidays, but when I think of fall I think of apple cider. I have always loved apple cider, even before I tried hard apple cider. I’ll drink hard cider all year long but drinking it now just gets me more excited for the holidays, so of course I wanted to find some other cocktails that include apple. Turns out ginger beer is the winner for use in apple cocktails. Dan tried to swear off dessert for the month of October but that didn’t last so I’m sure he’d welcome apple cider donuts or cinnamon rolls. The yummmmmmms!
