I was contacted by Lorna Jane asking if I wanted to review their products before their store openings in Seattle and Bellevue. Gladly! I quickly sent them an email saying of course and picked out a few pieces to review. Besides the review we’re also doing a GIVEAWAY! Details on how to enter are at the end of this post.
Lorna Jane is an Australian activewear brand which has made its way to the west coast and now Washington! This Thursday Lorna Jane is throwing a launch party in downtown Seattle from 5-9pm and next week they’re throwing another launch party in Bellevue (details to come). I’m really excited to see the stores in person and hopefully can make it to both events. For more details about the Seattle launch party head to Lorna Jane’s Instagram.
*Disclaimer: This post is sponsored by Lorna Jane. I received the product I am wearing in this post. All opinions are my own.
Until a few years ago I was not an active person. When I first started dating Dan (a workoutaholic) I only had one pair of workout clothes and was apprehensive about spending money on something I wasn’t using very often. But in the past few years my workout schedule has jumped from once a season to 3-4 times a week. One pair of workout clothes just doesn’t cut it anymore. So in the course of building my athletic-wardrobe I discovered there is HUGE difference between owning workout clothes that just get the job done, and ones that make you feel cute. Having fun workout clothes that are flattering is something I’ve never experienced until Lorna Jane sent me their samples. The confidence and comfort I feel in their clothes really fits Lorna Jane’s motto of Move Nourish Believe (also the name of their blog), if you feel confident in your workout clothes you’ll enjoy your workout more, and maybe even push for that extra mile.
I surprised myself by choosing pink but I turned out to really love this bright pink Dash Excel Tank which is made out of breathable LJ Excel mesh fabric. At first I didn’t notice this but there is an elastic cord at the hem so you keep your shirt from riding up while doing pilates or yoga, something I really appreciate. The shirt does have a tendency to wrinkle but I threw it in the dryer for a couple minutes before this photoshoot and didn’t have any problems.
One major plus to the Amy F/L Tight, other than really making your legs look good, is the little zip compartment that can hold your keys or cash.
Wearing: Arena Sports Bra
Bring on the bubblegum pink! Trust me, seeing myself in this shade of pink was super shocking but I really liked the simple design, thick straps, and racer back. The Arena Sports Bra comes with removable padding which I found nice because often I prefer to be as flat and contained as possible while running. They have a lot of really cute sports bras with cool straps but I’ve always found thicker straps to be more comfortable. One of my favorite details is the reflective logo on the back.
Wearing: Amy F/L Tight
Above I mentioned how flattering these tights are and they are really flattering. I usually wear capri length yoga pants and I am amazed at what a difference the Amy F/L Tight made by totally shrinking my calves. Everything went from decent to muscled. The LJ Excel Classic fabric is shrink and fade resistant and comes with an internal draw cord to tighten at the waist. I’m extremely happy with these tights and will probably not be buying more capri length pants. I’m a changed woman.
