Yes, it is still technically winter, and many of you are still getting pounded by snow. But as I mentioned in last month’s swimsuit post, now is the time to expose some skin! Ok well maybe not now, but really really soon. By saying that you need to expose a bit of skin what I’m really saying is that your toesies need to be free. Your feet are absolutely dying for some freedom after spending so much time in clunky rain boots and snow boots and thick socks and footsie pajamas. And it will be spring everywhere soon (I promise), so paint those toenails cause it’s time for sandal shopping.
If over-the-knee boots were the IT shoe for fall and winter, gladiator sandals are the IT shoes for spring and summer. They’re fun, they’re sexy, they make a statement, and most important they’re fit for almost any occasion. Today I’m going to show you four different styles of gladiator sandals that might be right for you. Word of caution on these; if you’re looking into anything strappy and leather you want to make sure that the straps are both well fitted and reasonably thin. Loose straps look, well, dumb. And thick straps can very easily make you look and feel clunky. They’re called gladiator sandals but you should not be stomping around like you’re actually wearing armor. More like floating on a cloud, feeling like a sexy badass.
