How She’d Wear It with Style and Cheek – Rompers for the 4th

By Tuesday, June 30, 2015 0 Permalink

I had to throw in a little Fourth of July inspiration for today’s post with a couple understated red, white, and blue outfits that can be worn anytime without looking kitschy. One look is fit for a daytime affair, maybe a picnic? I did include a super cute picnic basket in the mix. And the other is a bit more romantic and sparkly, perfect for any summer evening. This is the last of the jumpsuit and rompers posts and fittingly it coincides with a holiday. I hope this month has given you some ideas on how to style your own rompers or at least shown you that this tricky trend may in fact be for you. Whether you wear it as a beach cover up, to a festival, or for an evening out, there is a jumpsuit for everyone. Now onto July!

How She'd Wear It with Style and Cheek - Rompers for the 4th | Romper Outfit Ideas

1. TOPSHOP Fine Knit Ribbed Jumper

2. Madewell Ball Open Cuff Bracelet

3. NARS Audacious Lipstick – Rita

4. SunnyLife Picnic Basket For 2

5. Tory Burch Square Sunglasses

6. MANGO Tie-Neck Striped Jumpsuit

7. J.Crew Valencia Perforated Leather Espadrille Slides

This look is a bit retro 1950s with the tie-neck jumpsuit and red lips but add the sweater layer, slip ons, and sunnies and you have a super cute outfit for a Fourth of July celebration, complete with a picnic basket. What I love about this basket is that it comes with a side compartment for wine! How cute. As far as accessories go, keep it simple with a single gold bracelet as your best (and most patriotic) accessory will be your red lips.

1. Moorea Seal Colette Sunglasses

2. MANGO Fringe Detail Cape

3. Miansai Screw Cuff from Moorea Seal

4. Evidence Jewelry Poet Ring from Moorea Seal

5. Clare V. Denim Fold Over Clutch

6. Madewell Desso Collar Necklace

7. H&M Sleeveless Playsuit

8. J.Crew Corsica Metallic Suede Espadrille Wedges

This is a romantic, yet laidback look. The wine colored playsuit is loose and flowy and the cream colored cape features fringed edges. The metallic suede espadrilles provide some shimmer and the jewelry is a mix of modern and vintage styles with a simple gold choker, screw cuff, and antique silver ring. It’s an all around hyper-feminine look with a little edginess provided by the seriously cool round frame sunglasses and denim foldover clutch with splattered bleach spots.
