Korean beauty products are popping up all over the place. I’m definitely not surprised because Korean women have some of the best skin across the globe. Innovative products and natural ingredients are creating smooth, perfect skin for the ladies. But it doesn’t just stop with the skin. Their obsession with cute packaging and bold colors make these brands stand out above the rest. All you need to do is head to Amazon, search for Korean Beauty Products and scroll through the endless lists to see for yourself. And did I say they were accessible? Because they definitely are. You can find your fair share of products on Amazon and at Urban Outfitters. It makes jumping on this bandwagon and becoming a believer within inches of clicking submit on your Amazon order.
But do they work? I put 3 products to the test to see for myself. After trying out the baby soft foot peel in May, I was already converted to believing in the Korean beauty hype. Could they work and make a difference on my skin? Read below to find out.
TONYMOLY Tomatox Magic Massage Pack
Okay so I admit that I purchased this one just based on the packaging. A tomato! So right there I felt I got my moneys worth. The Tomatox Pack (what we know as a mask) contains tomato extracted water and tomato ingredients, such as Vitamin C, to help detox, brighten, and clear your skin. For acne prone skin, or if your skin is feeling a little dull, try the tomato pack.
I am finding great success with this product using it after a long workout. I wash my face and apply the pack for 10 minutes then rinse. My skin feels smooth and more awake after using the pack. I can’t say I notice any dark areas lightening, but it definitely keeps my hormonal acne at ease. That’s a huge win in my book.
Etude House Collagen Eye Patches
The collagen eye patches are weird to get used to. They are slippery, slimy and you’re definitely thinking about them the entire time that they are on your face. They contain hydrolyzed collagen to help plump up your fine lines and grapefruit extract to help with any redness, discolorations, and to help your skin retain more moisture.
Puffy, tired eyes from lack of sleep, allergies or long hours at work are plaguing me these days. I tried the eye patches hoping for a miracle. A miracle was not created on my eyes but they definitely helped to de-puff on the days when I needed it the most. I tend to reach for the Origins No Puffery but the eye patches came in handy. A bit messy but they made me feel fancy as I walked around the house drinking my coffee.
Hey! Pinkgo Girl Triple Hyaluronic Acid Seaweed Collagen Moisturizing Face Mask
Hyaluronic Acid is huge in moisturizing, hydrating, and helping your skin to retain moisture. Best for all skin types, this ingredient is definitely best for those that suffer from dry skin. Collagen helps to plump up your skin and fine lines (like the eye patches) leaving your skin feeling firmer, softer and younger looking.
I’ve seen the Instagram posts of Chrissy Teigen, Lady Gaga and Chris Pratt sporting the face mask selfie. There must be something to these creepy masks. I dove right into the face masks and loved them. Okay so I didn’t look like a celebrity once taking the mask off but my skin felt SO smooth. For a few days after using the mask my skin wasn’t too oily, which it tends to be in the summer, and my forehead dry patch had disappeared. I may need to get my face mask selfie game on next time to show how fun these are.
