With the amount of drink themed Pinterest Picks I’ve put together, surprisingly I’ve never done a Halloween drink post. But I’m glad I waited because I love the selection of drinks we have here today. While I would have been totally fine with every drink having dry ice (because it looks so cool) I had to give you some variety. Plus, showcasing both cocktails and large batch drinks was important because some people want craft cocktails at a small get together and other folks will look to fill their punch bowls for big a Halloween blow out.

I’m hoping to try my hand at some Halloween punch this year but we’ll see what happens. The apple bourbon and pumpkin sangria sounds like a crowd pleaser but I know I’d rather down a few of the vanilla blackberry and champagne cocktails at a party, because duh, champagne is my jam (and the cocktail uses jam…ha!). And how about the super festive gravedigger cocktail with hard cider, whiskey, and ginger ale. There are too many to choose from!

Sleepy Hollow Cocktail | The Jewels of New York – Basically any cocktail that requires smoke piques my interest. The absinthe, mezcal, and St. Elizabeth allspice dram combine to make this drink not only gorgeously smokey looking but deliciously smokey tasting as well.

Black Widow Cocktail | DIY Network – For this refreshing purple cocktail you’ll need blackberry juice, vodka, and simple syrup. Easy enough! Just dip the glass in some purple-colored sugar and you’re ready to party.

Apple Bourbon & Pumpkin Sangria | Kiran Tarun – Well it is autumn so of course we need an autumn feeling drink! What’s more seasonal than apple, bourbon, and pumpkin all mixed to make a wonderful and weather appropriate sangria. It’s a batch drink as well, which means you can just make a bunch of it for your guests and not worry about tending bar.

Bride of Frankenstein Cocktail – Vanilla Blackberry Champagne Cocktail | Pineapple and Coconut – I love when cocktails use jam, it’s such an unexpected ingredient. While it’s really the dry ice that makes these Halloween appropriate, this is perfect for those who want to feel festive but enjoy a good berry flavored cocktail.

Halloween Pumpkin Punch | Honestly Yum – Half the reason why I chose this recipe has to do with the drama of that dry ice pumpkin punch bowl. It’s so perfect! The drink itself is for you real pumpkin lovers with spiced rum, orange juice, lemon juice, spiced syrup, sparkling water, and yep, pumpkin pureee.

The Grave Digger Cocktail | Boulder Locavore – This sounds both yummy and easy to make, which means it needs to be on this list. You’ll need hard cider, whiskey, ginger ale and dry ice for the spooky effect.

The Black Beard Cocktail | Honestly Yum – Here’s a cocktail for those who really want to achieve the darkest, spookiest, blackest of black cocktail out there. I say this because the key ingredient to make it blacker than black, is squid ink. Thankfully all you’ll be tasting is the spiced rum and stout.

Swamp Swill Martini | Julep – I must admit that the black olive palmetto bug is what won me over on this cocktail. We have a lot of spooky cocktails but this kind of icky feeling cocktail, is really the different kind of drink we need. It’s called a swamp cocktail (ewww) but it’s just a creepified classic and delicious martini.
