While the Kardashians’ and Jenners’ continue to kill it with their strong camel coat game, my recent love of this coat was inspired by this street style photo. It’s a simple but stunning combination, a black turtleneck and burgundy velvet skirt with a camel coat draped over the shoulders. The Kims’ and Kylies’ of the world can rock their nude bodycon ensembles with their camel coats, but I want burgundy and black with mine.
The camel coat has kind of become a “must have” piece in your closet as we keep seeing it again and again through the 80s, 90s, until now. It’s a piece that you can throw on to instantly up your chic. Plus it’s so flattering. And thanks to the oodles of camel at J.Crew, we know that you can wear it with pretty much anything. Any color, any print. Clashing or matching, it all goes. Because camel, with its beautiful neutralness, can be the statement or the canvas, you just need the right coat to match your personal style. So what will it be?
New Look Faux Fur Collar Belted Coat – One of the camel coats featured here needed to have a faux fur collar. They’re everywhere, they’re really cute, and it makes the coat. Plus, it’s detachable so you get two styles in one.
Missguided Oversized Camel Coat – Incredibly simple oversized coat in lovely camel. And simple isn’t a bad thing, folks. This is a great go-to piece as it will pair will with everything and isn’t overly fussy, just chic.
ASOS Coat with Waterfall Front and Belt – Love the great, classic belted design with the two-tone waterfall draped detail. The tie is also removable so you can wear it open.
Oasis Double Breasted Car Coat – This is such a pretty color for a car coat. It’s a little oversized, with two front buttons and dramatic waist pockets.
Religion Passage Drape Front Dresser Wool Coat With Belt – This pure wool coat is a beautiful belted option. It’s one that I’d want to wear belted all the time because of how great the wide lapels look when the coat is tied up. So classy.
Club Monaco Daylina Coat – Really gorgeous camel overcoat with double button detail. I love the large notched lapels and the way it looks when it’s left open brings the eye right to the lapels.
Parka London Alana Tuxedo Wool Coat – This coat is so cool! It feels super equestrian and super luxe. I adore the long notch lapels, the pockets, and single button. My favorite of the bunch.
Mackage Babie Wrap Coat – Perfection. I may love the equestrian style short coat but this is the true winner as far as classic style goes. It’s the perfect length, the tie waist is gorgeous, and color is spot on (drool).[show_shopthepost_widget id=”1150223″]
