Beauty Basics – Weekend Beauty Essentials

Chances are you’re busy every weekend through August and you may not have a lot of time in between parties, events, and just chilling out in the park. I think we have something going on every other weekend until the baby arrives which means I have limited time to get ready and pull myself together. It’s time to perfect my quick mom routine now while I have time. I still need and want to look my best because, why not? Brunch it up with a few mimosas, soak up the sun, or hit up a few trips to Target while looking your weekend best. Make sure your makeup process is simple but effective with these weekend beauty essentials.

NARS Laguna/Orgasm Duo – Since we’re talking about quick routines, how about a duo that has bronzer and blush in one? This combo is a cult favorite and will always have a place in my makeup drawer. The colors are perfect for summer and just about every skin tone.

Clinique Lip Color Balm – The no lipcolor lip look is popular right now. Having your lips look like you just had a red popsicle is key. Skip the heavy lip color layers and opt for a lipstain or balm. Long wearing and hydrating what you’ll need for the hot summer heat.

amika Perk Up Dry Shampoo – I’ve been trying to do second day hair, or in my case day and a half old hair. A little dry shampoo helps to keep the oil away and my hair looking and smelling fresh. This product doesn’t leave the chalky white residue that most dry shampoos tend to leave behind.

Lancôme Hypnose Drama Mascara – I can never leave the house without mascara. Even if I’m running to the grocery store I throw on mascara. Reach for the mascara to give you a bit more drama to really pull your weekend look together.

BareMinerals Well Rested – This is my life saver. The name says it all because it truly makes you look well rested even when you’re not. Swipe a little under the eyes and on the eye lids to look bright and awake.

BareMinerals Complexion Rescue – Tinted moisturizes are a weekend girls best friend. I’m still in love with Complexion Rescue because it’s hydrating and has a SPF 30. It goes on smooth and absorbs into the skin perfectly to give a nice even complexion. Plus the SPF protection is what you’ll need for those afternoons in the sun.
