Pinterest Picks – Spring Sweaters

By Monday, February 27, 2012 1 Permalink

I’ve decided to start a series called “Pinterest Picks” and this week I am showcasing spring sweaters. Yes, spring is coming or at least I’m trying to convince myself it is. I woke up today excited for a little bit of warmth, but despite the sunshine it was only 28 degrees. I am still trying to regain feeling in my toes, though who needs feeling in their toes anyway?

What I really would love to find is a lavender or lilac cable knit sweater. So far I can’t find one that’s the right shade, but here are four sweaters to wear under your coziest coat that could give you that springtime feeling.

Spring Sweaters

Splendid Striped Jersey T-shirt. When the sun starts shining you can show off this cute mint and gray shirt which would pair well with a bright-colored blazer in peach or melon. And to really play up the prepster vibe you could work it with some straight-leg khakis. Really I just need more mint and gray in my closet.

Juicy Couture Spring Sweaters

Juicy Couture Fine-knit alpaca cardigan. It is something so far outside of my comfort zone that I actually love it, especially the gold buttons. I’d either pair this with some super old-school looking riding pants for a throwback or boyfriend jeans rolled with chic flats.

Spring Sweaters

Splendid Sahara striped cotton-blend terry sweatshirt. The triangle panel at the top reminds me of old crew-neck sweatshirts with the soft detail of the twisted neckline making it more feminine. If I didn’t throw this on just to wear around the house I’d pair it over a floaty dress or circle skirt.

Jonathan Saunders Spring Sweaters

Jonathan Saunders Oval waffle-knit cotton sweater. Mint! Again! This one reminds me of fish scales or some mermaid-wear. Pair it with…anything. Actually, I’d like to see it with a pencil skirt in an unexpected off-beat clashing color. Or, some scalloped shorts because now you’re embracing your inner fish! (I’ve gone insane)
