Recently, I have fallen hard for colored suede. My closet does not hold a single pair of shoes in a color other than black or brown. Awful right? Well this year I think that should change. Here are five pairs of deliciously colored suede heels.
Coral Flair Mary Jane Peep Toe Heels from Ruche $42.99. Remember these? I mentioned them in my post about Ruche’s spring lookbook. They’re inexpensive and so darn cute! However, if you’re not a fan of manmade materials then don’t choose these. Between the old-school look and the coral, I’d feel like such a lady in them. But if you give Julia the shoes, she’s gonna need to buy an entire outfit with it.
Cynthia by Schutz at Piperlime $220. Old me would have preferred a luscious black pair of these pumps, but new me is trying out color and that green would make a statement. Cynthia features a 4″ heel and 1″ platform and has 100% suede upper and leather lining and outsole, which explains the price. The color is “Jade suede” and paired with the bamboo platform it makes these exotic. Resort hotel-ware, yes please.
Steve Madden’s Dynemite Sandal $69.99. I want these in almost every single color they offer. No joke. I want them. I’ve almost bought them in black, lavender, mint, taupe and coral. I don’t even care if it’s the same shoe, they are beautiful! I really want them but honestly I’m scared of the 5 1/2″ heel. They’re a mix of leather and manmade materials and I first saw them on Ashley Madekwe’s blog and have been obsessing over them ever since.
Brian Atwood Claudia embroidered suede pumps $2,115. There is no way I could afford these but I had to feature them. Isn’t the embroidered heel detail gorgeous? I’m not even a huge shoe person and I can appreciate the excitement of a standout heel. There would be a party on my feet if I wore these! These aqua pumps are also 5 1/5″ high and of course made of all leather and suede materials.
Pinkish by Ivanka Trump at Piperlime $125. Want something simple that still pops? Here you go, a beautiful crimson pump with a classic shape. The lining is synthetic but the rest is suede and leather. It’s a bit more modest as far as heel height at 3 3/4″ so if you don’t want to risk teetering about then this would be a good choice.
