Pinterest Picks – Colored Jeans

I recently purchased Steve Madden’s Dynemite sandals in black and lavender. I’m still waiting for the lavender pair to come in the mail before I write a shoe post. But as I was prancing around in my black pair I realized I really need some cropped jeans and while I am at it, some colored jeans too. I was inspired by Ashley Madekwe’s pastel skinnies in coral and mint and thought I’d share some colored jeans with you.

Rich & Skinny Bikini Crop - Wine | Colored Jeans

Rich & Skinny Bikini Crop Jeans – Wine: These wine colored jeans are sexy. You can do a lot with wine – mustard, black, cream, jewel tones. The jeans can be styled hippie-ish with prints, gothic with a lot of black or a bit western with a chambray. Because the color is so versatile there’s not much you can’t wear with these. Even if you’re shy you can pair these with easy neutrals and it’ll look great. See also: J Brand 811 jeans in Ruby and Vigoss skinny jeans in Luster Wine.

Rich & Skinny Legacy Skinny Jeans - Berry | Colored Jeans

Rich & Skinny Legacy Skinny Jeans – Berry: These berry jeans are almost grungy, but definitely playful. You can style them with dark colors and jewel tones. They’d look good with black suede booties and either a black or emerald/teal top. I’d end up wearing sweatshirts with the berry and wine jeans. While the rest of you are breaking out pastel colors for spring (ie warm weather and sunshine), here in Seattle dark, rich colors like berry and wine are perfect for the gray days. Colored Jeans

Quotation: Sanctuary Jeans – The Charmer Skinny in Cobalt: Because the jeans are so bright you need to compliment them with something a bit subdued. Neutrals, stripes, casual shirts look good paired with these jeans. Cobalt has a bit of a tough vibe so you can play that up if you want with a black blazer and rockerish accessories. See also: J. Colored Jeans

J Brand Denim 811 mid-rise cropped skinny jeans – neon lilac: This is probably the most difficult to style for me but unlike mint and coral this color can go with black. Gray may be a prettier option because black could overwhelm the outfit. Lavender is a girly color but it’s a cool color and you can go light or dark with it. This pair is neon so make your top less of a standout. If you’re looking for pastel/neon inspiration check out 3.1 Phillip Lim’s Spring/Summer 2012 collection. Colored Jeans

Rag & Bone Biscay low-rise leggings-style jeans – aqua green: Mint/aqua is even more casual than coral and is a very popular color right now for jeans. I love this pin of all the ways to style mint – with white, blush, nude, even leopard! You can dress up these jeans but they are always going to be a bit more casual because they are a beachy color. They also look great paired with equally bright colors such as lemon, mango or tangerine. See Also: J Brand 811 Mid-Rise Skinny Leg in Juniper.

J Brand Jeans 835 Mid-Rise Capri in Coral | Colored Jeans

J Brand Jeans 835 Mid-Rise Capri in Coral: One of the most popular colors for jeans right now next to mint. This is a color you can make romantic or casual. It’s spring/summery so play up the light colors with a lace top in white or cream. A tan blazer or a jean jacket in a lighter blue would both look very chic paired with coral.
