Good Girls Love Leather Too

Leather

One of the reasons I don’t wear hot, sexy black leather is that I don’t want it to look cheap, and I promise you, nice leather is expensive. Unless you get it vintage (you can find very nice vintage leather items), your plastic “leather” jacket you bought at Forever 21 is going to look exactly as good as its $21 price tag. This is just my preface as to why so many of these options are more expensive. If I am going to buy a full leather or leather accented piece, I want it to be quality.

Don’t think you’re limited to just black for leather this fall, though darker hues/neutrals seem to be the choice –  tan, white, oxblood, cream, orange-brown are all options. Wearing all black however, is very Fall/Winter 2012. Think Kate Beckinsale in Underworld, Carrie-Anne Moss in the Matrix or Rooney Mara in The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. Though you don’t have to look so harsh, it’s amazing how feminine leather pleated skirts can be.
