The temperature here in Washington has changed dramatically over the last week. Granted I’m waking up a lot earlier now that I am working, but it’s a significantly chilly change. The problem is that I bought a lot of pieces to wear in Savannah: t-shirts, lightweight dresses, tank tops, and now I am stuck with very little to wear that is suitable for this brisk fall weather. And it’s only the beginning of fall! I need sweaters! Give me all the sweaters!
Of course I find a variety of sweaters that I actually like mostly from places that don’t have online stores in the US. Uniqlo and H&M both carry a variety of simple sweaters and after reading Stylenik’s post on Uniqlo’s store opening in San Francisco, I became obsessed. So many colors! If only I lived closer to San Francisco…then I’d be close to Uniqlo…and Zara as well…oh… Anyway, I still have H&M and Quiksilver close by and they both have styles that are as useful in a work environment as for hanging out on the weekend. If you’re looking for sweaters in a variety of color – Uniqlo. Inexpensive but not cheap – H&M. Variety of relaxed styles – Quiksilver.
Uniqlo Cashmere V-Neck Sweater : The ultimate sweater staple – v-neck cashmere. I need about ten of these please.
Uniqlo Cashmere Crew Neck Sweater: This looks like an upscale sweatshirt with the same slouchy shape and crew neck top.
Uniqlo Peplum Short Sleeve Tunic: The most casual peplum I have ever encountered. I want all the colors.
QSW Native Blanket Wrap: Weekend comfy cozy and in fall colors!
QSW Coast Sweater: Stripes pretty much dominate my wardrobe. I like their unique placement.
QSW Water Wrap: This is much better than wearing a robe around the house. Put on some skinnies and boots to go to the store.
H&M Cashmere Sweater (no longer available): Perfect staple. Gray will always win.
H&M Pattern-knit Sweater (no longer available): A bright blue for gray mornings.
H&M Pattern-knit Glitter Sweater (no longer available): A slight sparkle to bring you into winter. Winter is coming…
