How She’d Wear It with Style and Cheek

Equestrian Style: Jodhpurs

Of all the equestrian styles, I’ve been too chicken to try jodhpurs, even though they’re actually easy to wear. You just have to embrace the fact that you’re wearing tight pants. With the recent increased love of leather, jodhpurs have become much more popular. Jodhpurs are no longer just for the horse riding people, they’re a pant that isn’t a skinny jean but it ain’t no trouser either. Instead of wearing full on leather pants, why not take baby steps and wear jodhpurs with leather paneling? Plus, they really showcase your bum. There’s no other way to say it. If you got it, flaunt it. But the key to this style is confidence.

Equestrian Jodhpurs and Ruffles - Style and Cheek

When I started this collage, I knew I wanted a peplum top to pair with these leather paneled jodhpurs – that little feminine detail was needed. I’m obsessed with peachy pink paired with burgundy, and loafers are a nice casual, but upscale choice for this pant. Flats in general are great, but I love that we now have a great selection of loafers made just for us, especially in velvet. To make this fairly simple outfit extra special, try some glittery nail polish – I’m a huge fan of ButterLONDON’s Rosie Lee polish right now. It’s this kind of salmon pink but in certain light it turns rust. Gorgeous.

Equestrian Jodhpurs and Floral - Style and Cheek

I’ve been in love with floral lately, so I was overjoyed to see that these floral pumps paired so well with these light colored jodhpurs. Initially, I paired these pants with a flannel shirt, which I still think looks so cute with this style, but I really wanted a jacket seeing as the weather still requires that extra layer. We’re not in spring yet! But that doesn’t mean we can’t embrace some floral and bright colors. Isn’t the leopard bow on that so cute?
