The days are slowly getting longer and less rainy out here in Seattle which means it is almost time to dust off those sandals and pull out the spring/summer clothes! Particularly cotton dresses, but especially cotton dresses that are really JUST cotton! No cotton/poly blends, or cotton/nylon – just cotton. There are way more options in the blend category than the straight up cotton category. So why cotton? Because of the breathability You don’t know how many times I have picked out a cute dress only to have Dan tell me that the material looks like it will create “butt sweat” or his favorite saying, “swass.” – an evaluation that instantly sends an insanely cute dress into exile. So now I’m looking for sass and not swass pieces. Thanks, Dan…
You might remember my Simple Cotton Dresses post where I talked about my love of cotton and how difficult it was to find cotton dresses below $100. I wrote the post in August when a lot of retailers were gearing up for fall, but I was planning a move to Georgia where fall doesn’t really exist. Currently, there are a lot of cotton options at a variety of price points because yay, Spring is coming! I’ve put together a fresh selection of cotton favorites, but make sure to check out the scroll bar below where you can find even more options.
$25 – $50 (Look for fun dresses on sale at this price point)
$50 – $100 (There’s a surprising amount of dresses at this price point, and they tend to be a little more intricate than the previous group)
$100 – $200 (If you love Madewell, most of their cotton dresses are in this range)
$200 + (These are really just for fantasizing, but I am obsessed with the white lace dress. If I were getting married, that might be a reception dress choice. It’s gorgeous.)
