When Jamie and I were discussing options for lace posts she mentioned taking lace pieces from day to night. Great idea Jamie! Figuring out how to wear something during the day and then transitioning the same piece(s) for nighttime is something I struggle with regularly. With summer creeping up on us it’s a little easier to take pieces from day to night because the warmer weather allows for more casual night outfits, and since lace is already on the dressy side changing it up for night is pretty simple. The biggest and easiest change you can make is to add sleek pieces and heels.

This lace shirt is the perfect choice for casual days and nights. For daytime, take it super casual with sandals and shorts, adding bold color. For nighttime, add skinny black jeans and black heels. Unlike during the day, the lace shirt should be the color focus for nighttime.

My favorite of all the outfits! I love the simplicity of a lace dress, especially a shift dress like this one. Keeping with the relaxed nature of this dress (think hippies) I went for day and night outfits that are easy going. For day, add brown leather sandals and cross body purse to ground the lighthearted lace dress, but pile on some rings to keep the outfit fun. The night outfit reminds me of something to be worn to an art gallery, very abstract and definitely playful.
