Fancy Friday – Margaret Elizabeth Jewelry

Jewelry is a very personal part of style. Some people pile it on, some people go the minimalist route, but either way jewelry can show a lot about your personality. I rarely wear jewelry and I’ve said this before, but a piece of jewelry really has to mean something to me for me to wear it. Or maybe I just need more places to wear fun jewelry (this I know to be true). But just because I’m not inclined to drape myself in jewelry doesn’t mean I don’t drool over beautiful pieces like any jewelry lover. I’m not the biggest jewelry buff but you can always count on me to love pretty and shiny.

I want to say I found Margaret Elizabeth through either Glitter Guide or The Everygirl. I fell in love with Meg’s personal style and home decor skills and after seeing her drool-worthy jewelry I started following her on Facebook and Instagram. I consider this a Fancy Friday post because I have been coveting her jewelry for months. Her pieces are clunky and elemental – many of the stones look like they were taken as is right out of the ground and placed in rough, thick Greco-Roman gold settings. Her jewelry is made for women but some of my favorites are fairly masculine. They’re strong, rough and natural. Her pieces can make an edgy outfit edgier or take a very feminine outfit and provide contrast.
