The Makeup Lady – Fourth of July Must Haves
Fourth of July, for me, is a time for BBQ’s, swimming, lounging and being ridiculously hot and sweaty! I’m vain and I like to look good at all times. The slightest breakdown in my makeup and heat attack causes me to run inside sitting in front of a fan until I have returned to normal. Living in Cincinnati has its perks but the humidity is not one of them! In order to make it through the day and look like a normal human I have to pack a clutch of Must Haves. This way by the time the sun is setting and the fireworks are booming, my complexion is even, my skin isn’t on fire and I’m shine free. I’m like the mom of beauty products. Sunscreen? Check! Translucent Powder? Check! Lip Balm? Check! Surf Spray? Check!

Urban Decay’s “All Nighter” is the best face setting spray. Spray once or twice once your face is complete and watch it stay fresh all day long. Touch up with Mineral Veil when perspiration sets in and to keep a flawless airbrush finish. Once you hop out of the pool, spritz your hair with Surf Spray to get the perfect beachy wave to your hair. Just because you’re going swimming, doesn’t mean you have to settle for limp hair. Make sure to have a great cosmetic bag/clutch handy like the Henri Bendel brown and white stripe bag. You want it to look fashionable and functional all at the same time.
