HSWI october

Happy October! Does it feel like fall where you live? It really does here, we’re already seeing grey skies and drizzle – here in Washington we miss out on the golden skies and changing leaves of other places, but I still love this month and fall in general. I’ve always felt more comfortable in fall weather clothing than spring or summer so I’m happy to announce that this month I’ll be covering classic patterns for How She’d Wear It. During the fall/winter 2013 runway shows I noticed a lot of classic patterns – houndstooth, plaid, leopard, etc. So kind of like the print series we did in June, October will be about these patterns. Instead of doing a full month on just one of these patterns I decided to do a few because none of them stood out more than the other and this time around I’d like to give an overview of each. That doesn’t mean I can’t do a month on just a single pattern, because that could definitely happen in the future, but let’s give you a taste of each. Houndstooth, Plaid, Leopard.
