How She’d Wear It with Style and Cheek

HSWI December

Christmas is already next week?? I’m not ready! Is it just me or have people been putting their trees up later this year? I know a lot of people who haven’t even put anything up yet. My tree is up but I am behind on Christmas shopping. Last minute presents FTW! With all that shopping left to do, I’ve generally been thinking a lot about the holidays, particularly about what to wear on Christmas Day to my parents house. Even though its family time and you want to comfortable, comfy doesn’t mean you can’t be cute.

1. J.Crew Collection Cashmere Zip-Front Hoodie

2. Plaid Hair Clip

3. Isabella Mug

4. J.Crew Pajama Pant In Navy Plaid Flannel

5. James Perse Stretch-Cotton Jersey Top

6. Charlotte Olympia Satin Kitty Slippers & Eye Mask Set, Red

Dan and I are opening presents on Christmas Eve morning since we’re going to my parent’s house for Christmas Day and want to really draw out the festivities. When I was growing up I could open one present on Christmas Eve and it was usually pajamas so I’d have new pajamas to wear on Christmas morning. I’d wake up, throw on my new pjs and run downstairs to make coffee and open my stocking. You want to be comfortable and warm but also not look like you’re tearing through wrapping paper in the same clothes you slept in all night. For added cuteness this season braid your hair and put a bow in it cause that textured bedhead should be used to your advantage.

Dinner with the family on Christmas day means a cute shirt and jeans. We’re pretty casual on Christmas. No fancy party dress or ties, just make sure you wear the jeans that let you have that extra slice of pie. Thank you 2% spandex, you make a difference. Another thing to be aware of are impromptu photo shoots, which my Mom is crazy about. Christmas is the only time when we’re all together but also the time when I’m guaranteed to have worn the wrong thing for picture time. Here is what I think is an ideal outfit combination, satisfying the food baby and looking good.
