Remember when I wrote that post about buying a new hairdryer way back in 2012? Well, sometime this past September it decided to die on me. Yes, the nice, highly reviewed hairdryer that I bought in January 2012 lasted less time than my previous cheap hairdryer that I used for years. No, I didn’t sign up for the warranty but I didn’t think it would die either.
Anyway, I’ve been without a decent hairdryer since fall and even though my pink travel size dryer does the job, it doesn’t do it very well. I got a haircut in December and it’s already looking damaged. A good hairdryer can change your life. Same with a good haircut. Put the two together and you’ve got hair confidence. But finding a good hairdryer has been kind of a challenge. I’ve asked multiple people, read reviews, even tweeted at a blogger asking for suggestions. I received mostly non-answers which was incredibly disappointing. It’s your hair! How do you not know what kind of hairdryer you use? Does everyone just use a random brand? I was flustered but kept searching; you can find below the few I found that I feel confident about.
In no way do I feel like I really know what the best hair dryer is, so I’m all ears for suggestions! What brand do you use?
BaByliss Pro Nano Titanium Portofino Hair Dryer – My hairstylist Suzy recommended BaByliss hairdryers which what she uses at the salon and at home. This one has 6 speed/heat settings, a super cold air button, is incredibly lightweight, and comes with 3 concentrator nozzles and a diffuser. Multiple reviews say that it dries hair fast and leaves it shiny.
BaByliss Tourmaline Hair Dryer 3000 – Another BaByliss dryer with rave reviews. It has pretty much the same features as the one above except it only comes with one concentrator nozzle through Amazon. Any dryer that leaves people wondering if their hair is really their hair and causes them to continuously touch it must be good, right?
T3 ‘Featherweight 2’ Dryer – I read about this hairdryer on A Piece of Toast’s Beauty Dish post. They were gifted this hairdryer and like me had been using travel dryers which were making their hair not so fantastic. This comes with a hefty price but between drastically faster drying time, creating voluminous, silky, and healthy hair a T3 hairdryer might be right for you.
