Red and black based plaids are one of the most popular plaids. And for good reason. This plaid is very fun, and has range. From girly-girl to biker chick and everything in-between this plaid has it covered. I can totally see myself rocking a motorcycle helmet in red and black plaid. Ok just kidding. Motorcycles scare me. But really, if there was one pattern that you needed to fall back on to feel badass but still kinda classy it would be this one.

Red plaid equals punk rocker right? Well, yes and no. The bleach and Billy Idol locks should stay at home, but the badass accessories? Always welcome. I’m crazy for dagger pendents and while I haven’t tried ear cuffs yet, they’re undeniably fun and cheeky. The look we’re going for here is comfortable, yet flawless. Yes, you may channel Beyoncé if you choose.

Initially, Dan thought this dress looked like something a tumblr cosplay girl would style with pigtails…yeah, not exactly the look we’re going for here. We want every day wear, not convention wear. To drop the school girl-esque vibe I went luxury-ladylike with a proper coat, super sexy lace booties, and well, gold. Because ladies looove gold. Let’s just say this fairly casual plaid dress got a step up in society with luxe pairings.
