That’s right, Pamela Love is having a Sample Sale on Saturday (tomorrow) from 12pm-6pm in New York city. If you’re lucky enough to be in the area then check it out. And if you happen to buy anything, tweet me @styleandcheek and brag about it. I’ll be jealous, but happy for you.
Pamela Love is one of those jewelry designers I’ve always had a major thing for but put on the “one day” list because the pieces I fall in love with are always way out of my budget. Such is life, right? Luckily her jewelry comes in such a wide range of prices depending on the material, so I have used a couple of her pieces in a few recent How She’d Wear It posts. You can find pieces for $150 or $8,000, depending on if it comes in bronze or dotted with diamonds. I don’t often find jewelry designers with such variety, they usually stick to a small price range of either affordable or luxury items. Which means that dagger necklace is totally a dream that could become a reality.
Pamela’s jewelry is often symbolic, relating to astrology, astronomy, nature, science, folk art, anything that inspires her. Her designs are at times unusual, like the gorgeous planetary spike earrings, but it’s that mix of the delicate and the grungey that I love. She’s also focused on sustainability, using recycled metals, localized production, and ethically sourced gemstones. Basically she does everything the right way in making some badass cool girl/Game of Throne worthy pieces.
