I got the newest Free People catalog this week and it actually made me excited for fall, which is surprising because I seem to be the only one not ready for summer to end. All you folks getting excited about pumpkin lattes? It’s August! I can’t be thinking about Hocus Pocus when it’s still so beautiful outside.
However, I can drool over lace dresses and over the knee boots. And holy shit never have I ever been this jealous of Kate Moss’s loose, textured waves and wear anything frame. Bring on the 70s style. Just like the soundtrack to Guardians of the Galaxy I am ready to get down with my funky self. Flared jeans, floppy hats, ponchos!? Hell yeah. I’m sitting here looking at the collection thinking, “It’s all so pretty! I want it all!”
Three Floor Freha Vegan Leather Skort at Free People – Short and leather? No problem with this skort.
It’s times like these when I wish I was going back to school. That was one thing I loved about summer break and coming back to a new school year with a new style. While I didn’t necessarily get a new wardrobe before school started, I did usually style myself a little differently each year. It was natural. But once you’re out of school there isn’t that new year, new style set up. That’s basically the only thing I miss about school – all the friends I would want to show off my new look to were guaranteed to be there each day. Where is my captive audience now? I guess that’s kind of an incentive to have kids but yeah, no.
Where do you show off your new wardrobe? At the office? On a date? Out with friends? Where is your favorite spot to wear new duds?
