Oh Labor Day weekend. Are we really already here? Where did the time go? While I’d like to say my wardrobe is prepared for summer to end, that would be a big lie. I feel like I’ve barely worn in my new t-shirts I got over the summer. What I am looking forward to is a full on closet clean out. Do you do that before fall/winter? Go through the sweaters and layers you wore last year and purge to make yourself feel better about buying a bunch of new things? I do and it feels frickin fantastic!
So after your donate all your tired favorites, it’s time to hit up some labor day sale action. When I was younger I remember labor day sales being a really big deal. The mall was packed with back to school shoppers and deal hunters. Thankfully you can skip the mall all together and buy yourself some new threads online.
Where to shop this Labor Day weekend:
1. J.Crew Marled Rib-Stitch Open Cardigan
I bought this on Tuesday and I already know it’s going to serve me well through fall and winter. So cozy, so cute.
2. Liquorish Green Bow Ribbon Hat at ASOS
The accessory for fall 2014 is the floppy hat. There are plenty of classy black options but how about trying this bottle green?
3. House of Harlow Leather Pave 5 Station Necklace in Cream
This necklace comes in a bunch of colors but cream and gold is both elegant and edgy.
4. Rag & Bone/JEAN High Rise Clean Bell Jeans
More 70s style for you. If you can pull off bell bottom jeans then now is the time to do it.
5. BaubleBar Crystal Block Ear Jackets
What do you guys think of the ear jacket trend? I dig it. Makes dangly earrings much more interesting.
6. Bailey Sunglasses from Moorea Seal
This summer was spent in sunglasses from Moorea Seal and this color on a classic shape is just right.
7. Susannagh Grogan Drusilla Infinity Scarf at Anthropologie
For someone who often wears solid colors a scarf like this is needed. Thankfully Anthropologie has a bunch on sale.
Nordstrom has a nice selection of bags on sale right now and if you’re looking for a new black bag this is discounted just enough to sway you.
9. Jeffrey Campbell ‘Jonas’ Bootie
Tired of black and brown booties? How about a lovely light gray pair.
10. Antipodium Pointillize T-Shirt
ASOS has so much stuff on sale that it’s almost overwhelming (in a good way) but I went right for something burgundy.
11. Rebecca Minkoff Jules Satchel
Because Rebecca Minkoff makes beautiful bags and this brown leather satchel is perfect for a new school year and season.
