Our second “Recreate The Look” post brings us to Rag & Bone. The fall 2014 collection focused on the rock and roll version of the 80s and emphasized menswear. The tomboy in all of us could love a few things from this line. Keeping with the theme, the beauty was kept to a minimum because what tomboy wears a ton of makeup?! The beauty look revolved around the dramatic cat eye with barely anything else. That’s what makes this look so easy to recreate! It’s perfect for October when everything is dark, moody and a bit edgy. There’s no need to spend a ton of money on high end products to make this look because most of it you can find at your local drugstore or beauty retailer. GASP! Yes you can use drugstore products for this look. I’m not kidding. The Global Artistic Director of Revlon was responsible for creating and executing this look backstage. We’re talking affordable, makeup here folks. You may even have a piece or two in your current makeup bag.
You’ll need two eye liners. One to set the base, the second to get the full precision and point to the cat eye. Don’t forget those precision pointed cotton swabs because they will become your best friend when you flub. Yes, you will mess this up at least once or twice before you get it down. One eye will be perfect, the other a hot mess. Use a white/cream shadow stick on your eye lids and lips to lessen the red and soften the skin tone. Don’t go overboard because white eyes and lips are not what we are trying to achieve here. Finish off some light contouring/highlighting and a few coats of mascara. No blush or lip color needed because the rock and roll tomboy doesn’t bother with too much color.
