My love affair (or full on obsession) with the brand For Love & Lemons started a few weeks ago when I featured their Pot Pourri lace dress on the New Year’s Dresses post. That particular dress ended up being such a hit that Jamie wrote a post that explained how to recreate the amazing look the model wearing the dress wore for Nastygal.com. And it didn’t stop there because then I featured a few of For Love & Lemons intimates in my recent lingerie post. But I swear there was no plan to heavily feature For Love & Lemons, I just happened to be browsing two sites I already love and fell for a few pieces that coincidentally turned out to be by the same brand. And this is one of the best ways to figure out your style. If you shop somewhere, like Free People, and you find that in a whole store full of beautiful things you are consistently drawn to a specific brand, it is definitely worth exploring what other pieces that brand might offer. Most stores don’t offer the full complement of smaller brands’ collections, so there could be a whole lot more out there that you haven’t even seen that you’ll also like/want/need/gotta-have.
So today is all about For Love & Lemons. They deserve an entire post since I’ve continuously posted their pieces these past few months. What is it about For Love & Lemons that I love so much? The incredibly sexy style, their use of lace, the witchy-boho vibe, and the general fun they seem to have with their pieces. They’re fun, they’re sexy, and they’re a little dark.
Snow Flurry Crop Top and Pencil Skirt – Matching skirt/top combinations like this, especially with crop tops are so huge right now (especially thanks to Taylor Swift). But I love the cheekiness of this speckled knit outfit.
Dusty Rose Maxi Dress – This dress screams Practical Magic. Are you feeling it? I love a good ’90s inspired floral print slip dress.
Knitz Ice Skate Mini Dress – I also love this Ice Queen Mini Dress. Basically any fair isle print dress that’s cute and short is good in my book. The flippy skirt is flattering and adorable.
Lolo Lace Fit and Flare Dress – Black lace is the epitome of sexiness and if you pair that with a backless style dress you have one powerful combination.
Holidaze Cardigan – For Love & Lemons knitz collection makes you want to bundle up and spend some time by a warm fire watching the snow fall outside.
San Marcos Lacey Maxi – What’s just as good as black lace? White lace. This ethereal dress with eyelash scalloped trim would make an incredibly romantic addition to your closet.
