It’s been forever since I’ve done a Little Things I’m Loving post. Now that I own a camera this series will be a fun way to show you guys my really exciting life (sarcasm). It’s a way to get a little personal but also show you cool things like what snacks or drinks I’m enjoying, or what the weather looks like in Washington state. You know, the little things. It’s also a way for me to practice my photography skills! So please, bear with me, I’m still a beginner.
You might think this photo is all about the pretty jewelry but I really took these as practice shots. I’ve been slowly learning how to use a DSLR in manual mode along with practicing styling and framing. Never in my life would I have thought I’d be laboring over how to angle sheets of white foam board to properly light some jewelry before awkwardly standing on a bar stool to snap some pics. It’s a different experience and I’m enjoying all of it. That being said, the bracelet and earrings are from Lulu Frost, a brand I’ve loved from afar for awhile but finally bought a few pieces for myself before Christmas. The necklace is from J.Crew and was a present from Dan last year for my birthday. :)
Here’s a sneak peek of my next outfit post which is Valentine’s day inspired. I love this dress.
I gave up coffee a few years ago and switched to green tea. The reason is totally vanity based but I had to stop using whitening toothpaste and didn’t want to stain my teeth. If I could give up tea I would but I need the caffeine every morning if I’m expected to act like a human being. I didn’t miss coffee and even grew to dislike it, until Dan brought home some cold brew. Mmmm. I don’t know if it’s just Stumptown but cold brew is tasty! It lacks that bitter aftertaste and doesn’t make me feel sluggish like a regular cup of coffee does. Now it’s my treat on the weekends. If anyone has a cold brew brand they like, please leave a comment! I want to try other brands but don’t know what’s good.
You know when you’re confronted with the thought that maybe your tastebuds are changing? Just like with the cold brew coffee I was really surprised that I LOVED this chocolate milk. It comes in a fancy ass glass container so it is packaged like something fit for kings, and man is this stuff delicious.
This has been our winter. A sometimes sunny, sometimes rainy, very green winter. But this past Sunday was particularly nice. It was 65 degrees so Dan and I headed to the park, which was packed with dogs and dog owners. It’s been about four months since we’ve had weather this nice so all these dogs have been cooped up for a long while. Needless to say they were going crazy. It was insane and really fun to be around so many happy doggies.
And a silly vine of a guy dancing in what looks like a high school hallway. Dan and I both find this hilarious and can’t stop watching it. I want to be this kid. Dan claims he can do these moves, but until I see it I choose to remain skeptical.
