In case some of you lucky ducks are actually planning on taking a vacation this winter I figured it’d be nice to show you some seriously cute swimsuits. You snowbound types are probably particularly excited by the idea of catching some rays and taking a dip, two activities that definitely require a new swimsuit. That being said, I’m sure a few of you are cringing. Swimsuits in winter? First of all, it’s cold out and second, despite getting back in the workout groove my body is nowhere near ready for a bathing suit. F-that. And yet, here I am, still dreaming about a lovely tropical vacation in February and play-shopping for a new bathing suit. What is it like living somewhere warm during February? Shopping for a new swimsuit is second nature, right? Instead of a new pair of jeans do you cruise for cute underwire bikini tops?
Whether you live somewhere warm, are traveling somewhere warm (I’m jealous), or you’re sitting at home imagining yourself somewhere warm (like me), you will likely love my swimsuit choices today. My current favorites include retro inspired pieces, florals, and pieces with slightly edgy details. I’m especially intrigued by the influx of pieces that cover your arms because sometimes you want to go in the water but want that extra cover on your back and shoulders. I’m speaking specifically of the Issa de Mar Makena One Piece. It’s sexy and yet covers. What styles are you loving this year?
Issa de Mar Makena One Piece – Super sexy, yet covered up. I love how unique this suit is with the long sleeves, edgy side cutouts, and surf inspired zip front. Sporty, sexy, I’m in.
Seafolly Summer Garden Boyleg Maillot from Anthropologie – A gorgeous garden print on a cute maillot style suit. Both comfortable and flattering.
Seafolly Goddess Bandeau Top from Anthropologie – Great for small or large chests, this bikini looks gorgeous and can be worn multiple ways. While I love the neon pink, it comes in a bunch of other colors.
Beach Riot x Free People Simply High Waist Bottoms – A winter floral for a hot vacation. Fitting, no? These retro inspired high waist bottoms look super cute with a simple triangle top.
ASOS Mix and Match Twist Bandeau Bikini Top With Tie Back – Black is a classic, easy choice and with a removable halter top this sexy twisted bandeau bikini top lets you avoid dreaded tan lines.
Anthropologie Mix-And-Match Underwire Top – A beautiful watercolor floral dons this feminine underwire top and cute ruffled bottom.
Kore Leto One Piece – A romantic muted neon colorblock one piece with a very simple and very flattering cut. Some things are best kept understated.
Beach Riot x Free People Strappy Back Rashguard with these High Waist Bottoms – A perfectly tropical print to get you in the mood for sunshine. Absolutely love the criss-cross back detail and matching retro high waist bottoms.
