Gap INC. announced in January that they are shutting down beloved online retailer Piperlime by the end of the first quarter of the fiscal year of 2015. Doing this will allow the company to “focus on their top priorities”. I was shocked, as were many other P-Lime fans when they found out that Piperlime is closing it’s virtual and physical doors.
Here’s the thing, and I’m sad to say this, Piperlime was never the first, second, even tenth online store that would come to mind when thinking about where to shop. But whenever I was in desperate need of finding a piece to finish a collage for “HSWI“, they frequently saved my bum. Piperlime is also where I got my beloved riding boots that I’ve practically worn into the ground. Was Piperlime my first choice, sadly, no, but I’m definitely not happy to see it go. They always had a wonderful selection of jeans, handbags, and blouses. Insert *sad emoji face* here.
So, what’s the good news? Well, SALES of course! If Piperlime is shutting down that means there are ton of great pieces that need a home. It’s time to keep your eye on the site and see what favorites go on sale. What I’m focused on is jeans. If you know your size and love a specific brand, go for jeans! Piperlime carries a lot of the major brands including Citizens of Humanity, 7 for All Mankind, Hudson, Rag & Bone, Current/Elliott. They’re all there.
Also, if you find a choice piece make sure you pull the trigger because these things are flying off the shelf! I was going to add a pair of Hunter boots and a Rebecca Minkoff MAB mini tote to this post but poof! They were already sold out. But thankfully there’s a lot more to sort through, so here are some of my favorites to help you navigate the on-going sale.
7 FOR ALL MANKIND Josephina With Rolled Hem – I live in 7 for All Mankind, so these relaxed jeans in the perfect rinse would make a wonderful addition to my spring wardrobe.
RACHEL ZOE Kitton Top – You have no idea how many simple striped shirt I had as options before I decided to go with this insanely cute, boho inspired blouse. Comfortable and pretty.
KARINA GRIMALDI Linnet Scuba Skirt – A flared hem scuba skirt in a fun abstract floral print. Great price, great reviews, cute as hell. I’m in!
STEVEN BY STEVE MADDEN Rykie – These heels come in Mint or Lavender and they’re a perfect, very on-trend heel for spring.
ELIZABETH COLE McNaught – I’d go for these because they’re just so unique with the turquoise, purple, and blue crystals, star details, and pearls. Absolutely gorgeous.
SWEET & SPARK FOR PIPERLIME Vintage Lionshead Bangle – I love anything with lion heads and this statement bangle would be more than welcome at any arm party.
