On Saturday I had the opportunity to attend Zebraclub.com’s showroom event and spring preview in Seattle. Sunshine, mimosas, pastries from Bakery Nouveau, clothes – sounds amazing right? Well to be perfectly honest with you I find most fashion events a little awkward. Awkward, but fun. These events often make me feel like I’ve dropped into a Hollywood industry party, but instead of actors, PR people, directors, publicists, you get fashion people; from the brand founder, to the person in charge of social media for said brand, stylists, photographers, and bloggers. I just don’t quite know what to do with myself, besides ogle the clothes and talk up the person nearest to me. But really I don’t do small talk. Or rather I don’t like small talk. I’m there to actually meet people and try to make friends, get a sense of the brand, and have fun!
So if you’re trying to find me at a fashion event, look for the girl making jokes. Trust me I’ll probably stand out. Like when my blogger friend, Morgan from Lemon Zest and Pearls, spilled a mimosa on herself while checking out the spring collection and instead of whispering “way to go!” in hushed voices, I teased her a little bit. Don’t worry, no clothing was damaged during this spectacle and Morgan thankfully can take a little ribbing.
But let’s get back to the point of the event. Clothes. Zebraclub.com is an online specialty boutique featuring emerging and established brands from around the world. Though Zebraclub has three brick and mortar stores, one in Seattle, Vancouver, and Berlin, Zebraclub.com is for those who love to shop online. Here you’ll find a mix of classic and unique, high quality pieces from Ace & Jig, Pepin, Wren, and Mullusk Surf Shop. Be sure to check out their sale pieces. My favorites include the Lauren Moffatt floral blouse and Mullusk Surf sailor stripe 3/4 sleeve tee (yes, of course it’s striped. All I own are stripes. But this is a springy stripe! There’s a difference).
Here’s Morgan doing the smolder, post-spilled mimosa, wearing a Wren leopard and stripe coat. It looked great on her, which made sense since she wore a similar shaped coat to the event (see below).

Here are my favorites from the Zebraclub.com Spring Preview:
Wren Leopard Print and Stripe Combo Coat – As seen on Morgan above, this coat has some wonderful pattern mixing going on with the leopard print and stripes. It’s perfect for spring.
Pepin Tie Dye Tassel Top in Apricot – Love the tie-dye print and fun tassels. I’d bring this on a tropical vacation and wear it to death with a long skirt and sandals for night, with comfy shorts, or even as a coverup for day.
Avril Silk Embridery Antique White Dress – Do you not dream of running through fields, wearing a flowy white dress and collecting wild flowers? This dress would be perfect for that! It’s made of sunshine and happiness, and has some beautiful embroidery.
