Just because it’s spring doesn’t mean that your makeup must be minimal and dewy. You can still experiment with bolder eyes, especially for date nights. It requires less product (yes!) and nothing too bold, but it’s nice to keep a smoky eye in your makeup arsenal all year round. The Rachel Zoe Resort look is a little dramatic for this season, especially for me. But the Roberto Cavalli Spring 2015 is a toned down, metallic version that doesn’t scream drama and feels less aggressive. Think of this as the neutral smoky eye that beginners will love and it’s an every day eye for the makeup lovers out there.
As we know with all of the other Recreate The Look tutorials, your foundation and base are a must. Build to your desired level of coverage with the bareMinerals bareSkin Pure Brightening Serum and conceal any flaws and dark circles. You want some light contouring with this look, just to give the appearance of chiseled cheekbones. Use a contour kit to shade in the hollows of your cheeks and highlight the cheekbones. No blush is needed.
Moving onto the eyes, a shadow palette will be your best friend with these looks. You get all of the colors you need in one compact. Use a dark, gray-beige shimmer all over the lid, up into the crease and along the bottom lash line. Blend a metallic chocolate brown just in the crease and outer corner of the eye. Finish off with a silvery-gray eye liner in the inner corner of the eyes. Apply a few coats of mascara, fill in your brows and consider the eyes done.
For the lips you’re keeping it simple. Pull out your favorite nude pink lip color and apply one coat. I would opt for a lipstick in this look, keeping the shimmer and gloss to a minimum.
