The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is now open to the public! Rejoice! I was going to post about the sale last week when only cardholders and pre-planners had access, but I went on vacation instead. This week works better anyway because now everyone can get in on the fun. I tend to have mixed feelings about the anniversary sale. It never has exactly what I’m looking for, but I can tell you that it’s a billion times better than Prime Day (ouch) and great for planning your fall wardrobe. Boots and capes. The Anniversary Sale is the best time to pick up bras and panties, especially for those who love Natori. Also, coats. Definitely check out their sale on coats because they tend to have some really nice ones, including this Topshop camel belted coat which didn’t make it onto the list below. But you know I’m really jonesing for this Burberry leather jacket…I just can’t resist Burberry.
One thing I’d love to see during this sale is better beauty discounts. Nordstom does offer some beauty bundles, but never the ones I’m really interested in. I don’t know who is in charge of that but I’d definitely blow all my lunch money on quality beauty products if they were on sale. I’m looking at you…NARS, MAC, YSL.
Overall, while I am a little disappointed that Nordstrom’s sale selection isn’t huge, because I want all the things, having a more limited sale forces me to get creative and really plan out the look I’m going for come fall. And that look is moody. I want it to be super moody. Maybe with a hint of ’70s style thrown in. So I’m looking at that cute brown mini skirt as the jumping off point…listen, if you give a mouse a cookie it will want a glass of milk…and this is why sales exist. The sale runs through August 2nd and remember, things go fast so if you like something, pull the trigger because it might not be around later. Thankfully, Nordstrom has free shipping and returns.
