Let’s all take a moment to bask in the beauty that is Burberry. I know, I talk about Burberry a lot but their pieces are art, and sometimes it just feels good to breathe in the perfection of masterpieces like these. One day I would love to own a Burberry peacoat and trench but it’s pieces like the ones below that keep me in awe of Burberry, just killing it year after year. A lace trench coat? Gorgeous. What I love most about Burberry is no matter the piece, even an insanely intricate lace trench, I can see myself styling and wearing it in real life. These are dream pieces of course, but they’re also sturdy and meant to be worn. That’s what makes Burberry such a luxury brand, the precision and quality.
I thought about discussing Burberry’s S/S16 collection for this post but thought better of it at the last moment. Some of that collection is available for purchase until October 5th (they have the satin duffle coat I featured on Monday!) but instead I wanted to explore some fall-ready pieces I have been craving since Fashion Week months and months ago. Burberry always stands out at Fashion Week and this year their hippie love with the fringe, jewel tones, and patchwork was to die for. Today we’re sticking with coats, correction perfect coats, but you should definitely check out their selection beyond outerwear.
Burberry Slim Fit Macrame Lace Trench Coat – I can’t stop looking at it. It’s so visually pleasing and yet wearable. How? Magic. Burberry is magic.
Burberry Shearling Trim Lambskin Biker Jacket – Aside from the lace coat, this might be my favorite of the bunch. It’s just so much fun! An amazing leather jacket plus poofy and soft shearling. So dramatic.
Burberry Tailored Cashmere Coat – At first you have a wonderfully tailored cashmere coat but the addition of the ribbed waistcoat makes it all at once badass and exquisite.
Burberry Cashmere Trench Coat – Gimme. This color is divine. Really I could have put any cashmere trench coat here from Burberry but once I saw this color it was game over man.
Burberry Double-Breasted Wool Poncho Coat – Poncho coats can be tricky, but this classic cut takes away the confusion and makes for a very comfortable outerwear choice.
Burberry Check Wool and Cashmere Blanket Poncho – The monogrammed poncho! Who doesn’t want a Burberry monogrammed poncho, I mean come on, it’s the only statement outerwear piece you need for fall.
Burberry Floral Cotton Gabardine Trench Coat – This was one of the most memorable pieces from the runway. Their classic trench with a hand painted floral screen printed onto the coat.
Burberry Suede Fringe Cape – The floral print trench was super memorable but this was really the standout piece from Burberry’s F/W15 runway collection. Look at all that fringe in such a gorgeous purple! It may not be the most practical choice, but it’s the most fun.
