You know what’s almost as good as fall fashion for women? Fall menswear. Well ok, not exactly…but men do have a ton of stylish options for fall that I’m a little jealous of, especially when it comes to layering and outerwear. If there is one thing that ties together all the looks I’ve picked below it’s that they’re all SLEEK AF. Nothing too poofy or baggy. Just like with women’s fashion, menswear is mostly about fit, but picking the right cut and the right fabrics is also a huge part of looking as spiffy as these gentleman. It’s getting a little colder outside, but guys that doesn’t mean you need to suffocate yourselves in fluffy cowl neck sweaters and oversized duffle jackets. These looks are all about staying comfortable in that November weather while looking cultivated and put together.
GQ Cover: Ryan Reynolds Shows How to Embrace Your Dad Years | GQ – Yeah, ok Ryan Reynolds. You can pretty much wear anything and look great but I’m really liking this outfit. All of it, but especially that peacoat with those boots. That’s how you wear boots in fall and winter, folks.
Eight Ways to Wear a Gilet | Mr. Porter – Puffy vests are so popular for menswear right now. You can certainly get creative by layering a puffy vest under a jacket but I like this classic combination of texture and pattern mixing. If you notice, he’s wearing four layers and still looks sleek. Thin layers, my friends.
Fancy Friday in Red and Grey | What My Boyfriend Wore – If you’re wondering how to bring your colored trousers into fall, look to this guy. We have red trousers, brown shoes, and a gray jacket. Yes, pairing brown and gray together is totally fine. It’s a more casual approach and works well with the patterned accessories he’s chosen like the pocket square, tie, and gold watch.
Fall Staples for Men | I Am Galla – This outfit is perfect. I love it. This is the embodiment of fall style, right here. You have the beanie and scarf, quilted jacket, classic rinse jeans, and a sturdy pair of boots. It’s all slim fitting and the nothing is too matchy but complimentary.
Born in a Black Tie | What My Boyfriend Wore – The devil is in the details. Everything about this outfit is on point but I chose a close up shot to show the care put into the choice of accessories. We have a stunning textured suit, matching floral pin, skull pocket square, and polka dot bow tie. Smashing, truly. This is menswear at its best.
Evergreen | I Am Galla – I love when guys are able to pair their trousers with more urban pieces. You have a very classy bottom half paired with not only practical, but put together and warm upper layers. Again, gorgeous tonal color mixing here with jewel tones that act like neutrals when paired together.
This Fall Look Maybe In Your Closet Already: Leather + Flannel + Black Jeans | Style Society Guy – It took me forever to find a good outfit featuring some red plaid but this felt right. And mostly because it’s so simple. A leather jacket with shearling collar, plaid flannel, black jeans, and chukkas. Nothing is overly matchy or too big, he just looks sharp.
Fall Business: Brown Three-Piece Suit | He Spoke Style – The tricky brown suit. It’s great that ’70s styles are coming back in ways that look surprisingly nice. I’d never imagine a brown suit to look so good but this 3 piece suit with the light brown shoes and accessories, and blue tie completely changed my mind.
