Pinterest Picks – 8 Cozy Winter Cocktails

By Monday, December 7, 2015 2 Permalink

Cocktail related Pinterest Picks might be my favorite to put together. Of course I enjoy food posts almost as much but I guess I’m more excited by creative drink making because I have less of an idea how they will taste. And while we still have a few weeks before winter is officially here, I believe it’s time to start crafting some winter themed brews. Bring on the mulled wine and cider, and just about anything to warm your belly and soul. Oh yes, even a little liquored up hot chocolate. Indulgence, comfort, and warmth (either in flavor or temperature) are what we’re going for here. These are winter cocktails for parties that are on the casual side, but if you’re looking for drinks fit for a party party check out my champagne cocktails post here. But for today, cheers to cozy winter drinks!

Mulled Wine Gimme | Some Oven | Winter Cocktails

Mulled Wine | Gimme Some Oven – I want to try my hand at making some mulled wine and I think this is the winning recipe. It sounds both delicious and easy to make, just a classic mulled wine recipe.

Hot Chocolate with Cinnamon and Whiskey | A Brown Table | Winter Cocktails

Hot Chocolate with Cinnamon & Whiskey | A Brown Table – An adult mug of rich hot cocoa. What sounds more comforting than a mug of chocolate with a few dashes of cinnamon and a touch of whiskey?

Cranberry Moscow Mule | The Girl in the Little Red Kitchen | Winter Cocktails

Cranberry Moscow Mule | The Girl in the Little Red Kitchen – Those sugared cranberry skewers are so festive! And I love the idea of taking a regular moscow mule and giving it a wintery spin by using cranberry ginger simple syrup.

Sunny Winter Cocktail | The Sweetest Occasion | Winter Cocktails

Sunny Winter Cocktail | The Sweetest Occasion – This cocktail looks so refreshing and beautiful. Some tequila, triple sec and one of my favorite winter fruits, clementines.

Pomegranate Mulled Wine | The Jewels of New York | Winter Cocktails

Pomegranate Mulled Wine | The Jewels of New York – Another favorite winter fruit, pomegranate is used to spice up your regular mulled wine. Just as easy as the first mulled wine recipe but with a bit more tart flavor.

Honey Bourbon Apple Cider Cocktail | Hello Natural | Winter Cocktails

Honey Bourbon Apple Cider Cocktail | Hello Natural – I know, we’re talking winter cocktails but apple cider still has that holiday spirit so it’s relevant. Cider, whiskey, and honey is a perfect combo of sweet, smokey, and sour.

Quick Holiday Punch | Honestly Yum | Winter Cocktails

Quick Holiday Punch | Honestly Yum – The holidays call for a good punch and while the list of ingredients is lengthy compared to the other cocktails here, it’s still easy to make, and sounds so yummy and full of flavor.

Mulled Pear & Ginger | Jamie Oliver | Winter Cocktails

Mulled Pear & Ginger | Jamie Oliver – Let’s mull something else other than wine, shall we? This recipe calls for rum! You’ll end up with a tangy drink that’s sure to warm your bones.
