On one hand I’m kicking myself for not writing about shearling biker jackets earlier because I missed out on sharing some drool worthy and affordable choices, but on the other hand there are a ton of jackets on sale right now. I’m never prepared to buy a new coat or jacket in the months that make the most sense aka fall/early winter. Nah, I usually forget until I’m freezing or wearing a coat that’s five billion years old. So shopping for a new coat come January makes perfect sense to me. When I saw this beautiful blush colored shearling biker jacket on Pinterest I knew I had to write about this style. Yes, it’s a little late but pish-posh, there are still quite a few worthy jackets and I’m here to share them with you.
What you need to know is that almost all of these jackets are faux shearling and only the ones in the $900+ range are made with the real deal. And while I absolutely loved the look of the pink coat above, I couldn’t find an equally amazing substitute at a reasonable price point. I did however find one from Reiss in pale pink and the to-die-for Acne version in powder pink which I’ve featured below.
Pink is pricey. But I think the tan is almost as pretty and won’t go out of style as quickly. A couple months ago Zara had a very similar jacket style that I would come back to over and over but never ended up using in any posts. I also didn’t buy it. Now I am seriously regretting it because it was pretty much the exact same style as the Acne jacket. Ugh! This is why you don’t wait people, once you see a star you need to capture it! That should be a rule, if it’s a reasonable price and you keep coming back to it over and over, you have to get it. Who’s with me?
Target Women’s Faux Suede Moto Jacket – WD·NY – Way to go Target! I was surprised to find this style of jacket still available here. It’s almost exactly the design I’m going for here. It’s also under $100. Get that shit before it sells out! That’s all I gotta say.
Buffalo by David Bitton Asymmetrical Zip Front Faux Shearling Jacket – This jacket is a little crazier than the rest, or rather has more personality. Which is excellent because if you’re going to be bundled up you might as well make a statement.
Neon Rose Oversized Borg Jacket with Shearling Collar – Ah white. So pretty and so difficult to keep clean but if you love white, rejoice! This is the coat that will help you achieve that chic Arctic cozy polar bear status.
MINKPINK Believe Again Faux Fur Jacket – You can’t beat this price for a lovely, cozy jacket. It’s a lot shorter than many of the other styles, so it’s a great choice for those wanting to look cute but go a little more casual.
Somedays Lovin Young Folk Faux Sherpa Coat – More on the outdoorsy, cabin loving, hunting side of the spectrum this might be the simplest of all the styles. But not lacking in cuteness or comfort.
Topshop Sloane Aviator Jacket – It’s beautiful! This jacket reminds me of a really comforting hug and the fact that they paired it with an equally cozy sweater doesn’t help because now I want both.
CURRENT/ELLIOTT The Sherpa Faux Shearling Jacket – The color of this jacket is what I like most, and it’s really close to the style I’m looking for without being pink. Plus it’s more than 50%, yes please.
MUUBAA Darma Aviator Jacket – I think people forget that we’re still in winter. In some places winter weather is just now ramping up so a gorgeous light gray jacket like this is an essential winter wonderland piece.
ALLSAINTS Ashton Shearling Biker Jacket – According to Dan, we needed a black option. Pretty sure this badass version of the shearling biker jacket is what he wishes I liked best. I cannot deny that it is beautiful and I would never object to this jacket. It’s also pricey, but on sale!
ACNE STUDIOS More Shearling Jacket in Powder Pink – This is the real winner. I mean how can it not be? It’s pink and perfect and of course designer which means it costs more than my rent. But like I said, perfect. If you can afford this beauty, you should get it.
