Office appropriate sequins are the hardest to pull off and depending on your workplace I’m sorry to say you may not be able to wear them at all. But if you work in a laid back or creative environment then there are a few ways you can wear your beloved sequins and still be office appropriate.
A sequined sweater is the easiest, you can layer it over a button down and wear with everything from jeans to skirts to trousers. This is the more casual way to wear sequins and looks really cute with jeans. The second way to wear sequins at work is with a sequined skirt (just make sure it’s long enough) plus a sweater, or button down and sweater combo. Yes, you could go wear a sequined pencil skirt with a blouse, button down, sweater, blazer but I wanted to recreate a really fun and feminine look with a more flirty skirt.
Going for color or cool neutrals is a good way to balance the nighttime festiveness of sequins so you don’t look like you’re on your way to date night. One outfit I’ve shown here is vintage feminine and the other feels more preppy, and while both are really cute it’s not like you’re wearing a sequined pencil skirt with a leather jacket, which btw would look perfect for a night full of cocktails.

If you work in a more casual environment then this outfit is a great way to incorporate sequins. It’s kind of preppy, kind of dressy, kind of casual but all around comfortable. It’s your normal sweater plus button down combo with jeans and flats, only with a sparkly sweater and sparkly flats. You could do any color and pattern combination with your sweater and button down but I liked the preppiness of the blue gingham pattern with the stripes. Since you’re still in an office environment, keep the jewelry classy. Think a gold watch and pave bracelet, maybe add a cute pair of stud earrings.

Now for the dressier work outfit best suited for those who work in a creative environment. We’re going a little retro with this one, bringing back some ladylike looks of the 1950s. Think pumps, full skirts, and sweaters, only this outfit is the modern version with punchy colors and gold sequins. This could be a super cute party outfit but I’d love to see it in an office. It has so much life! How could you be unhappy about putting in the daily grind in an adorable outfit like this one?
