Yesterday I mentioned that I’m still searching for my ideal style of dress, one that fits my personality and looks flattering. While wrap dresses aren’t totally me, they at least hit on a few of the sides of my personality. The romantic and sultry sides. The side that wants to sit at a classy rooftop bar with her legs crossed and a glass of sparkling in hand watching the sun go down. Or the side that wants to be at a summer party swaying to the music, tipsy, laughing. There’s casualness to a wrap dress that equates to fun. It’s meant to be easy and comfortable. Now the wrap dress doesn’t have the attitude I love, but it has softness and flirtiness and most importantly, a versatile, complimentary fit.
Free People Sweet Escape Wrap Maxi – This dress is absolutely stunning. I love the dramatic flutter sleeves and maxi style. It’s just so boho and beautiful and comes in multiple colors, although I prefer the moody black and red print.
ASOS Midi Tea Dress With Wrap Front – If you buy any wrap dress, buy a black one. It’s your best go-to dress and sexy as hell. If you want something shorter, check out the very similar ASOS Mini Tea Dress.
Urban Outfitters Ecote Ruby Mini Wrap Dress – I love it. I want it. Everything about this is perfection, from the slight puffed sleeve to the flirty swingy skirt to the 70s style paisley print. LOVE.
Ann Taylor Pleated Wrap Dress – Classy. Your basic wrap dress that everyone should consider having in their closet. Great for many occasions and it also comes in black, though this magenta color is gorgeous.
Revolve Auguste Wandering Willow Wrap Maxi Dress – Bright and fun and ready for…summer! While you can wear this dress now, the print is ready for a late night party on a patio with a margarita in hand.
Free People FP Beach Tiny Dancer Wrap Dress – It’s a faux wrap but still a great staple piece. Comfy, cute, ballet inspired, and comes in a bunch of different colors. I’d get one for each season.
ASOS Wrap Midi Dress with Pleats in Floral Print – The floral print on this dress is so wonderfully spring. It’s not a true wrap dress but it has a wrap front and really adorable pleats so we’ll take it.
Warehouse Bird Print Dress – Dan is not a fan of this print but I adore crazy botanical prints like this. It’s a little weird, a little wallpaper-y, but a heck of a lot of fun. And it has pockets! You cannot deny a dress that has pockets.
