Pinterest Picks – 8 Romantic Hairstyles for Fall

Since Dan and I both got haircuts last week I’ve had hair on the brain. It’s been years since I’ve gotten more than a trim and while it may not seem like much, this was the most dramatic cut I’ve received since college. To say I was bored was an understatement but what’s better than changing your look up for fall? Although pixie cuts are gaining in popularity (thank you Millie Bobbie Brown!), you don’t have to chop off your locks to go dramatic. Try a fresh color. Or just re-style it for a night out. Even just changing up your part can transform your whole look. I’ve been doing a middle part for the first time in forever and I’m digging the ’60s/’70s vibes. Both middle parts and deep side parts saw a lot of action on the runway for fall 2016.

Whatever you choose, I suggest taking a chance. Mercury retrograde is over and it’s now Libra season! Time to embrace beauty (as Libra rules beauty as well as balance) so this will be a great time to figure out what beauty means to you. Do you want to dedicate your time to maintaining a haircut or go low maintenance and focus on other things. Low maintenance beauty is having its moment, so you might as well take advantage of that. Bring on the air-dry styles! But remember, the holiday season will soon be upon us. How would you like to style your hair for parties this year? Or sexy date nights? Fall and winter are the time for dress up, coziness, and romantic vibes. Here are some looks to inspire you this season.

  • Your middle part suits you so well. Keep it going please!

I love that short hair styles always seem to come back right as I’m on the verge of growing my hair out and trying to keep it long. Damn all those pretty faces and short hair cuts that try to persuade me.

    • Thank you! You’re the first person to say anything about it! I’ll keep up the middle part.

Noooo! Keep growing it! That always happens. I know I’m super late to this lob type thang but I think I’m going to go shorter. Even though I know that when I do people will suddenly decide longer hair is better. I’ve been growing my hair out since my second year of college so you gotta stick to it if you want it! You can always chop it off again later.

  • Thank you, Gillian! I appreciate it!

I cut my hair short back in 2007 and I was just getting trims until my most recent cut (and I’m planning on going shorter). I certainly don’t want to tell you to do one thing and have you come back and shake your fist at me in case it was the wrong decision! Cutting your hair is such a personal thing. I usually chop my hair when I’m in need of a change. It tends to be an emotional decision that’s like…ok I am bored with my hair AND life so let’s do something different.

Hair grows back so if you wanna go shorter, do it. Now it’s just about deciding what kind of vibe you want, I wanted edgier. 20s style bob has a lot of sass. 30s style bob is the most romantic of the three. 40s style bob has more options for styling as it’s a little longer than 1930s styles. Which sounds best to you?
