Around the holidays I take stock of my closet and accessory needs before making my Christmas list. This year I hemmed and hawed about my bag situation. I only own a few bags. And while I really think I should get a new purse, there isn’t one I like as much as my Rebecca Minkoff Mab Mini. Sorry folks, I am not here to be trendy, I’m here to find the perfect bag for my lifestyle! I love the size, the shape, the convenience of the top handle or cross-body strap. So until I find something that fits the same type of criteria as the Mab Mini, I figured I’d think about what else I could use. And that’s tech accessories. Man is it hard to find chic tech accessories!
I don’t blame designers for this. At least not yet. I believe that technology is still evolving rapidly and designers don’t know how to keep up. And while I keep giving her props, Rebecca Minkoff really has had the best variety of tech accessories for the past few years, 2016 included. You go to her tech accessory tab and it’s not just phone cases or wallets, she has bags with chargers, bag accessories with chargers, even beanies that comfortably hold headphones (although what do we do with ‘no strings’ headphones?). She illustrates how chic tech is really not that difficult. And yet, fashion + tech aren’t on the same page. We’re slowly getting there, with cute prints on power banks, but being connected is part of our lives. For me, it’s part of my job. I’m so ready for designers to up their game in the tech accessory department. Until then, here are some great options.
Rebecca Minkoff Always On Power Bank – Yep, this is pretty much my life. Always on. And for those social media addicts like me, this is the perfect travel companion. Snapchat really drains your battery!
Everpurse x Kate Spade New York Quentin Wristlet Pouch in Mahogany – This wristlet has mixed reviews but I have been looking high and low for the right small bag to hold my phone. Honestly it’s a bonus that it also charges your device but I care more about how easy it would be to carry this bag around at events.
Rebecca Minkoff Regan Laptop Sleeve with Strap – My current laptop bag is trashed and this laptop sleeve/bag is so much sleeker. I especially like the little side pocket and strap for easy travel.
Sonix Bisous Portable Charger – Cheeky, cheeky! This also comes as a phone case but I love this little charger with its “Take Charge” graphic. While the “Always On” portable charger is chic, this print is so much fun.
Tory Burch Perforated Logo Phone Cross-Body – I went to an event at Neiman Marcus awhile back and the event coordinator was wearing an equally expensive looking cross-body that only fit her phone. Classy, functional, and the type of piece every connected person should have.
Rebecca Minkoff Always On Power Tassel Keychain – I throw my charger in my bag all the time and it’s so cumbersome. This is a great way to carry around a charger and it looks amazing too. My only concern would be making sure it didn’t get wet since it rains a lot in Seattle.
Rebecca Minkoff Regan Phone Crossbody – This little bag is perfect. It has more space than the Tory Burch cross-body so you can fit your keys, id, money, your phone obviously, and maybe even a lipstick.
Rebecca Minkoff Always On M.A.B. Backpack – I’m glad backpacks are back. This is such a cute backpack to hold everything you need for traveling as well as a laptop. It includes an interior slip for a 13-inch laptop.
