I enjoy putting together Thanksgiving posts way more than I enjoy Thanksgiving itself. Especially, ESPECIALLY when it comes to the food. I have multiple Thanksgiving food roundups that are ah-mazing. People are just so awesome and creative that it makes putting together posts like these really fun. I’ve done Thanksgiving side dishes, main dishes that aren’t turkey, and even unique turkey recipes with things like mole roasted turkey. There’s even a post all about pie! This year I went with a different, but very helpful, theme; Thanksgiving leftover recipes. Because we all know that Thanksgiving ain’t Thanksgiving without a bunch of leftovers. And while your classic turkey sandwich is always welcome, it’s time to switch things up and explore the world of Thanksgiving leftover recipes. Ahem, and if you indulged in a few too many drinks, many of these are also great hangover cures!
10 Yummy Thanksgiving Leftover Recipes
Ok, this croque madame looking freaking beautiful. It’s covered in a cheesy gravy which is already drool worthy but then once that yolk breaks it’s game over. Watch this beauty get devoured in less than a minute! It also qualifies as the perfect hangover food.

These quesadillas are super easy and yet super fancy. Well, for quesadillas anyway. Thank you, camembert. They’re also different from Thanksgiving flavors which is desirable.
It’s nice to have a salad after all that buttery, cheesy, creamy meat, potato, casserole, mac and cheese nonsense. Cleanse your body! But don’t let your leftover turkey go to waste. The peppery watercress and radish works well with the filling sweet potato and bright lime, parsley dressing.
Here’s another recipe where the flavors are so different from Thanksgiving that you won’t realize you’re eating leftovers. I have to admit, my mouth is watering just looking at this gumbo! I’d welcome leftover turkey if it came in such a yummy package.
Thank goodness for creative Thanksgiving leftovers! People normally go for the good ol’ turkey sandwich but this really kicks it up a notch. Look at that melted cheddar! And the egg on top with gorgeous yolk ready to dance with that yummy cranberry chutney and savory sweet potato and green onion biscuit! Mmm.
This is craziness! Turkey, kabocha squash, and rice all covered in sriracha. Another easy recipe if you have the leftovers to make it. Could be an everything but the kitchen sink type dish depending on what squash or veg you use but as is this sounds tasty.
Banh mi’s are super refreshing. I saw a lot of leftover turkey banh mi recipes but Jamie Oliver really knows how to knock it out of the park. While you don’t have to add pâté, it really enhances the flavor.
More breakfast. More deliciousness. A fantastic use of leftover stuffing. And it’s super simple with only five ingredients not including salt and pepper. You can add any veggies you like.
Yum, savory waffles! Look at that melted cheese. I want to cover these yummy potato filled morsels in hot sauce. Or maybe maple syrup for a sweet savory flavor.
