I went to Free People the other day and tried on a bunch of dresses because now is the perfect time for dress shopping. Stores get way more creative with their dress offerings during the holidays, which means all of my inner party girl princess dreams can come true. Lace, velvet, satin, sequins, embroidery, oh my! And hello, sequins! You can be as embellished and shiny as you want during the holidays and no one will say anything about it. So if you have a holiday party to go to and you’re dying to wear a fun dress, now is the time snag one of these beauties.
Free People Kiss And Tell Lace Mini – My favorite! You don’t have to wear red or green to celebrate, this blue is so pretty for the holidays and beyond. The devil is in the details and these details are to die for.
River Island Sequin Slip Dress – This sequined dress is so fun! It mixes the slip dress trend with sequins for a wonderfully on trend holiday frock. Plus I love the contrast trim down the side which feels like a subtle call to athleisure.
Free People Madly Deeply Mini Dress – I love this dress and wish it were in my closet. The color is beautiful, it’s comfortable, and it makes a big statement. And the embroidery on the bust is such a great detail.
Nasty Gal Charli Satin Midi Dress – This dress makes me want to go see The Nutcracker. It’s the perfect event dress. Not too over the top but still gorgeous. Black satin is a classic choice when it comes to the holidays.
Topshop Plisse Star Mesh Skater Dress – The color of this dress is what drew me in, but the mesh overlay and star pattern are truly unique. All the ruffled details could end up looking too cutesy if not for the studded waist trim.
Free People Belle Epoch Velvet Maxi Slip – This velvet dress comes in a bunch of different colors including black, red, and green, but I wanted to pick a less obvious choice for the holiday season. This purple looks absolutely lovely in crushed velvet.
ASOS High Neck Edwardian Mini Babydoll Dress – A sweet babydoll dress is just cheeky enough to not be in-your-face but still cute enough for any event. And I love the bell sleeves and the high neck with contrasting ribbon.
Nasty Gal Breakthrough Satin Slit Skirt – It’s not a dress, I know, but there are some really great long satin skirts out there. Not only is this one beautiful, the slit makes it wonderfully dramatic and sexy.
Kimchi Blue Firestarter Long-Sleeve Sequin Mini Dress – Your quintessential NYE dress is right here. Gold sequins are a holiday staple. So go all out with a sequined dress, or shine with a pair of gold glitter boots.
Nasty Gal Kids in America Mini Dress – The embroidered neckline on this dress is so Victorian and romantic but the fit and flare style is flirty and party ready. If you didn’t already know, black velvet is always a good idea.
