This winter I’ve bought quite a few bodysuits and as spring nears I realized that I am lacking in warmer weather bottoms to wear with said bodysuits. So unless I expand my closet a bit, I’ll be sweating through some high-rise jeans whenever I want to wear a bodysuit this summer. Not comfortable. Enter the a-line miniskirt, though it looks like I’m a year late. A-lines were all the rage last year, but this year is all about the denim a-line miniskirt. Well, shucks. I’ve sworn off denim miniskirts since 2007, so I guess I’ll have to dig deep for some non-denim a-line options. The selection is definitely less than it was back in good ol’ 2016, but I’m determined to not suffocate my lower half in the summer heat this year.
I’ve rounded up a bunch of a-line skirts for today’s post, to help us all shop. Just because trends change rapidly, doesn’t mean something isn’t cute anymore. A-line skirts are still going to look kickass. Plus they’re so dang versatile. Wear them with boots, booties, platforms, sandals, platform sandals, sneakers, flats. I really have no idea why they’re disappearing so quickly because to me, a super cute shirt and a-line miniskirt should be as no-brainer as jeans and a tee. Another reason why I love a-line miniskirts so much compared to other skirts is that I have a butt. And dealing with pulling skirts down constantly that ride up is not how I want to spend my time. The a-line design is more forgiving and flattering. So I hope you enjoy what I’ve put together in my search for the perfect a-line miniskirt. Happy shopping!
