Now for one of the greatest songs of all time! Danse Macabre by Camille Saint-Saëns. It is actually one of my favorite songs of all time but it’s also the perfect 31 Days of Halloween song. It’s often used in pop culture but after going down the Wikipedia rabbit hole I learned that the song is about Death coming out at midnight on Halloween to raise skeletons from their graves and have them dance for him while he plays the fiddle. Listen, Death just wants a dance party. While at the time (1874) it was not well received, now it is a beloved piece. Even with the screeching violins.
