If you’re a tried and true fan of the blog you are likely familiar with Pinterest Picks. If you’re new, welcome to Pinterest Picks, a series that I usually post on Mondays which features inspiring things I find on Pinterest. What I love about this series is that there’s no limitation on topic. It could be about a fashion or beauty trend, a home decor round-up, or the ten best margaritas. Maybe I just love roundups. Either way, I’m bringing it back. It was always my favorite series thanks to the never-ending supply of inspiration on Pinterest. Please let me know if there’s something you’d like to see. I’m more than happy to make roundups for you.
Since we’re in full Halloween spirit, I have rounded up some of the best Halloween decor around. Currently, my office at work is filled with boxes of Halloween decorations for our upcoming Halloween party. So even though I’m always in the Halloween spirit, it’s tenfold now. A lot of these suggestions just need a few supplies from your local art store, whereas others – including that amazing neon boo sign – require tracking down the items. Either way, if you’re looking for last-minute inspiration before your kick-ass Halloween party, these are classy and easy to replicate.
Buy It or DIY It: Cover Your Front Door with Bats | Country Living – Granted, the door on this house is stunning. From the green paint to the odd oval windows, but the bats flying across the entryway is such an easy and impactful way to add a touch of Halloween to your home. All you need is black paper (waterproof or plastic if outdoors) and scissors.
Cute With a Lil’ Spook: DIY Mini Ghost Garland | Curbly – This ghost garland is adorable. Easy to replicate. Super cute. And once it’s made you’re good to let your ghosts hang out.
Butterfly Mantel Halloween Decor | @LaurenConrad – This butterfly mantel is my favorite of all of the picks in this roundup. It’s so simple and beautiful. Just add white candles and gold candlesticks. Maybe a skull, if you have one lying around.
DIY Fresh Floral Moon Pumpkin | The Merry Thought – I’m a big fan of decorating pumpkins (see here, here, and here) but this floral moon pumpkin is so lovely.
How We Decorated for Halloween | The Honeybee by Andee Layne – While it seems obvious, I always forget that fake cobwebs make a big impact. Add it to an already beautiful and well-styled cocktail bar, with or without skull bottles and skeleton hands, and you instantly up the creep vibe of the space. Extra points for the neon sign.
Free Halloween Printables | Taryn Whiteaker – While that industrial buffet table completes the look, you don’t need to go buy one to get this look. You actually just need the printables from the link and a few black frames. A quick Halloween gallery wall.
