HAPPY HALLOWEEN! We made it! Welcome to Day 31 of 31 Days of Halloween. It’s a bittersweet time in which I share the final song of this playlist and my choice is I Put a Spell on You by Screamin’ Jay Hawkins. There are numerous versions of this song, all of which are amazing (bonus: check out Alice Smith’s version, it’s heartbreaking), but Screamin’ Jay Hawkins wins this Halloween. It’s the theatrics.
Plus, if you’re looking for something to do tonight that isn’t partying, you can always enjoy Hocus Pocus. Bette Midler’s version of I Put a Spell on You is also pretty great. You can’t go wrong with any version of this song if you’re looking to round out your own Halloween playlist. Just don’t dabble in any actual spell casting, leave that to the experts.
