How is everyone’s social isolation going? I’ve lost count on how many days I’ve been home but it’s somewhere around two weeks and last week I was furloughed from my job…which feels like ages ago. To anyone out there who has either been laid off or furloughed, I’m so sorry. I hope that you’re able to pay your bills or get them deferred or whatever it is you need to get through this. This situation is stressful for everyone and honestly, one of my worst fears (being laid off, although temporary) came true. Thankfully, I have this blog and now I have time to put into it! So that’s what I’m going to do.
Now to the point. We’re starting with green bedroom inspiration because when I moved into this new apartment, I painted my bedroom a gorgeous emerald/forest green. I live in a studio with a sliding barn door and my bedroom gets very little to no light so I went with a brighter shade, “Country Squire” by Sherwin Williams. My initial favorite was “Cascades” by Sherwin Williams but thankfully due to the darkness of the room, “Country Squire” looks more like “Cascades”.
The first two photos below were my inspiration for my bedroom so now I’m sharing green bedroom inspiration with you. Green is so calming and rich. Trust me. There is not a single day that goes by that I regret painting it. Even when I think of having to paint it back to bland apartment beige. If you’re on the fence about painting your bedroom a luscious leafy green shade, let me push you off the fence and into that green glory.
My Bedroom Renovation | The Girl With The Green Sofa – They put in paneling to enhance the texture of the room and it looks fantastic with the “Deep Sea Green” paint by Valspar. Plus, you have the wrought iron bed, the antique vibe of the chandelier, eclectic pillows, and that woven lavender throw.
Teal and Brass Moody Master Bedroom | Contague – I still love that teal color with that brass lampshade. Ugh. It’s so beautiful and rich. The rest of the room looks pretty neutral, which is very elegant and adult.
Once we painted a toilet quite purple, but it didn’t last for many hours | Bolig Magasinet – This one’s a little different. The paint is imperfect with visible strokes and in a lighter emerald shade called “Kabe Spartel Dark Emerald”. Coupled with the fun paintings, it’s an artistic and lovely room.
Checking In With Homestead Seattle | SF Girl – Let’s say you love green but don’t have the guts for a full look. Try a half wall and pair it with white. This is an Airbnb in Seattle and the bed frame has since changed but I love the simplicity here.
Reader OMG! – My Brother’s City Condo | The DIY Playbook – A moodier choice. This forest color is “Essex Green” by Benjamin Moore and looks great in this neutral bedroom. The paint picks up some green from the patterned rug to pull it all together. See the full reveal of this room here.
Miranda’s Magical New Orleans House | Camille Styles – Another eclectic room for you. I adore this entire magical house, you have to check it out, especially the pool area. Gorgeous. The minty, sage green makes this the perfect summer vacation bedroom.
Green and Pink Bedroom | harrison_nate_and_me – Oh my god that cotton candy throw! Yum. This look feels very Parisian. You have multiple greens with pops of pink and gold, a fashion art print and a fringed lamp. Yes!
Well-Curated Style Mix with Colorful Details in Focus | Elle Sweden – I want to know where that massive sliding leads because this room is an oasis. The green paint takes the place of plants and allows you to feel serene. Wouldn’t change a thing.
